The Cottage
Mr and Mrs Stock, of Church Brampton, in Northamptonshire, kindly invited Broughtons into their home, where we were able to take a snapshot of their lifestyle, incorporating some of our products. With Mrs Stock's keen eye for detail, the oldest house in the village, dating back some 400 years, has been made into a welcoming family home. The Cottage is a Grade 2 listed building, made of Northampton Stone, featuring Stone Mullion windows, and may once have been used as pub, being frequented by King Charles I. Situated in the Daventry District, together with nearby Chapel Brampton the two villages are known as The Bramptons. It's church St. Botolph's, dates back to the 13th Century. With The Cottage comes an inherited tradition whereby, the villagers collect their newspapers from a box in the entrance porch! This inherent responsibility is shared by two houses in the village. Again we would like to thank Mr and Mrs Stock in allowing us to view their home. Please see links below for our products used at The Cottage.
