An unusual stepped square bell push crafted from solid brass, it has a look of the Art deco period about it. This beautiful and unusual bell push is available in several finishes; so please select your desired choice from the drop-down.
The finish shown here is antique satin brass unlacquered.
The "PRESS" featured on the ceramic button adds extra character to this lovely bell push. At 56mm wide, it will only fit extra wide door frames so please check what width you have most door frames. We also have solid oak pattresses to suit which look great when the bell push is fitted to brick or stonework. Using a pattress also means that there is not the need to cut out the full amount of brick or stone material to suit the rear of the button.
Antique satin brass is a living finish that is produced by hand. It is unlacquered so it will oxidise as it is exposed to the air and it will mellow and develop a rich patina with age and use. It can be polished back to achieve a lighter brighter finish or left to age further. This natural ageing combined with the hand crafted nature of the finish means that there may be differences in colour and detail. This all adds to the beauty, character and individuality of each product. If you are a retail customer in the UK then when we send you your Goods you will also receive a delivery/returns note (as well as your receipt). Full instructions on how to return the Goods to us are on the delivery/returns note. You have 14 days from date of receipt to return Goods to us and do not have to give a reason for doing so. You will have to pay for the return of the Goods. If the entire order is being returned, your refund will include the cost of the original delivery. You can either organize the return yourself (getting proof of postage) or (mainland UK only) we can arrange a collection via our courier (at a charge of £15 per parcel).
If you are NOT a retail customer or you are outside of the UK then you will not be able to return goods to us unless they are faulty.
If you receive damaged or faulty Goods then you should contact us to arrange the return within 48 hours of your receipt of the Goods. If we confirm when the Goods arrive back with us that they are damaged or faulty, then you will not be liable for the cost of returning the Goods. You will be offered a replacement or refund.
We regret that we cannot accept returns for Special Order items (unless damaged or faulty). A Special Order item would typically be any item that is not in stock.
We cannot be held responsible for packages lost, delayed or damaged in transit. For your protection if you are returning Goods to us, we recommend that you send your package by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Looks grate and nice feeling of quality. i bought it with the oak pattress and it's just the job.
Like Clive T, i had to get the putton replaced as the first was a faulty. however, i think the problem is that there is a white plastic ring that is stopping the contact being made except on very deep pressure to the bell push. If you remove this ring, the bell push works fine (the thickness of the brass makes up for the need for the ring).

I bought the renovated brass version of this bell push, and am really pleased with the product. It feels weighty and solid, while the design is interesting but understated. Connection to the terminals on the back was easy, and the matching oak pattress was perfect and looked great after a couple of coats of varnish. The only thing that could've made the solution better was if a couple of matching screws had been included - it took me a while to find a pair of brass screws that were small enough to use for attaching the button to the pattress.

I looked long and hard to find a decent door bell push as I had previously tried 3 others and each in turn turned out to be very poor quality and didn't last as I think they should have. I bout the Art Deco Square Bell Push Antique Satin Brass in hoping to solve the problem. On inspection of the product I am happy to say that it is of good quality and made with quality material and I look forward to a trouble free door bell push for years to come.

The bell push is just what I a looking for, I have not installed this yet. It is a nice weight and will be a lovely addition to my 1930s house.

This does look good on the house - lots of great comments on the chrome and press button- very deco in style.
My only issue is the actual contact mechanism. (Broughtons kindly sent me a new one after the initial one didn't work) - I know it was faulty as I put a meter across the terminals. Since getting the new one, it has failed to ring the bell on a number of times. Continual pressing of the button does cause the contact to be made and hence operation of the bell.
If all the items on your order are in stock, we endeavour to despatch it within 1-2 days on a next day service to mainland UK. Other destinations will have longer transit times.
If your order contains some products that have to be made or ordered specially, we will usually wait for all your ordered items to be in stock before despatch. Please contact us if you would like parts of your order to be despatched as and when they become available. This would attract a separate delivery charge for each delivery.
