A pair of small solid brass bun door knobs with cast brass rose.
We offer a choice of finishes for these beautiful door knobs:
Antique Satin Brass: Unlacquered, so they can be just left to mellow further to form their own character.
Renovated Brass: The process to form this characterful finish involves antiquing first then partly polishing the knob back. Again, these are unlacquered so they can be just left to mellow further to form their own character or polished occasionally to help maintain their look.
Polished Chrome and Polished Nickel for a more contemporary look.
Supplied complete with matching fixing screws and the Allen key to secure the knobs to the square 8mm spindle.
These attractive bun door knobs will suit both mortice locks (and latches) as well as rim locks (and latches). For rim locks, simply discard one of the roses
As with all door knobs, a deep mortice latch is required; ideally 4" or over. This keeps your knuckles well clear of the door frame as you enter the room or when you pull the door closed behind you as you exit the room.
Antique satin brass is a living finish that is produced by hand. It is unlacquered so it will oxidise as it is exposed to the air and it will mellow and develop a rich patina with age and use. It can be polished back to achieve a lighter brighter finish or left to age further. This natural ageing combined with the hand crafted nature of the finish means that there may be differences in colour and detail. This all adds to the beauty, character and individuality of each product. Do bear this in mind if you are buying items over a period of time.Dimensions:

If you are a retail customer in the UK then when we send you your Goods you will also receive a delivery/returns note (as well as your receipt). Full instructions on how to return the Goods to us are on the delivery/returns note. You have 14 days from date of receipt to return Goods to us and do not have to give a reason for doing so. You will have to pay for the return of the Goods. If the entire order is being returned, your refund will include the cost of the original delivery. You can either organize the return yourself (getting proof of postage) or (mainland UK only) we can arrange a collection via our courier. Courier collections arranged by us are charged at £15 per parcel if less than 1.5m in length, or £37 for parcels over 1.5m in length (eg curtain poles).
If you are NOT a retail customer or you are outside of the UK then you will not be able to return goods to us unless they are faulty.
If you receive damaged or faulty Goods then you should contact us to arrange the return within 48 hours of your receipt of the Goods. If we confirm when the Goods arrive back with us that they are damaged or faulty, then you will not be liable for the cost of returning the Goods. You will be offered a replacement or refund.
We regret that we cannot accept returns for Special Order items (unless damaged or faulty). A Special Order item would typically be any item that is not in stock.
We cannot be held responsible for packages lost, delayed or damaged in transit. For your protection if you are returning Goods to us, we recommend that you send your package by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

These door knobs are of excellent quality and are perfect for my Victorian cottage. The brushed finish is slightly different to the originals giving a more modern twist on a classic favourite.
Customer service is second to none; a couple of the knobs were scuffed despite being sealed in their boxes. I sent a email to customer and received very swift replacements so I could continue with my project.

Like Douglas W - my house was also built in 1901 and I was keen to find matching knobs and bought these after researching other options. They are a very close match ro the originals and have a lovely feel to them. The weight also feels great. Two other points to make 1) the knobs are screw on to the spindle and are held in place by a tiny hex grub screw which means that the base plate is installed separately (you don't have to scrabble about trying to get the screwdriver around the curve of the knob - really good installation feature. 2) the screws supplied (about 20mm were too long for my doors and came up against the metal of the mortice lock. I had to lop off the ends and shorten them to about 15mm to get a good fit. I will be buying more of these !

I undertook quite a lot of research before opting to purchase these as we were trying to match to existing original fittings for our home that was built in 1901. These were almost identical and really look the part, the quality is excellent and far in excess of others I have seen. I would recommend these. Delivery was also super quick, we ordered on a Sunday and received them Monday!
If all the items on your order are in stock, we endeavour to despatch it within 1-2 days on a next day service to mainland UK. Other destinations will have longer transit times.
If your order contains some products that have to be made or ordered specially, we will usually wait for all your ordered items to be in stock before despatch. Please contact us if you would like parts of your order to be despatched as and when they become available. This would attract a separate delivery charge for each delivery.
Delivery charges vary based on your address and the items in the delivery:
For Mainland UK (excluding Scottish Highlands) orders for items less than 1.5m in length and over £100 have FREE delivery (excludes radiators, stoves and palletized lighting).
