A 12" Internal Letter Box Flap made from solid brass and finished in polished chrome. A weighty internal letter flap to finish the internal side of a door when a traditional horizontal letter plate has been fitted. Secured by two end pivot hinges - all screws supplied.
Polished chrome initially has a bright mirror finish. It can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth followed by the application of a quality wax polish.

If you are a retail customer in the UK then when we send you your Goods you will also receive a delivery/returns note (as well as your receipt). Full instructions on how to return the Goods to us are on the delivery/returns note. You have 14 days from date of receipt to return Goods to us and do not have to give a reason for doing so. You will have to pay for the return of the Goods. If the entire order is being returned, your refund will include the cost of the original delivery. You can either organize the return yourself (getting proof of postage) or (mainland UK only) we can arrange a collection via our courier. Courier collections arranged by us are charged at £15 per parcel if less than 1.5m in length, or £37 for parcels over 1.5m in length (eg curtain poles).
If you are NOT a retail customer or you are outside of the UK then you will not be able to return goods to us unless they are faulty.
If you receive damaged or faulty Goods then you should contact us to arrange the return within 48 hours of your receipt of the Goods. If we confirm when the Goods arrive back with us that they are damaged or faulty, then you will not be liable for the cost of returning the Goods. You will be offered a replacement or refund.
We regret that we cannot accept returns for Special Order items (unless damaged or faulty). A Special Order item would typically be any item that is not in stock.
We cannot be held responsible for packages lost, delayed or damaged in transit. For your protection if you are returning Goods to us, we recommend that you send your package by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

I really struggled to find an internal letter box flap that wasn't cheap, nasty and shiny. After much searching I came across this one and although it was much less expensive than some of the others I was considering, I cannot fault the quality or the service from Broughtons and I am delighted with my choice.
Nice looking but a bad design

The flap looks nice but the profile of the flap is such that when letters are posted through the door, it is left stuck in the open position. The internal face of the flap is not lined with anything so it makes a loud noise then the door is opened and closed. A thin layer of neoprene or rubber would solve this and provide additional draft proofing.

This product is so beautiful, weighty and traditional. It is EXACTLY as stated and the fitting is simple. I love unlaquered brass as you get that really original Victorian look. LOVE them. ☺️

Nice and heavy so it drops shut. Would be even better with some kind of draught sealer around the edge - we are going to fit our own.

Absolutely delighted with the solid brass letter box flap, a small detail for the door it but makes a big difference - not just to the look of the door but also the function as it effectively stops the draught. So nice to get delivery of a product that exceeds expectations.
