When you shop with us we know that you need absolute trust in us to keep your details private and only use them appropriately. Broughtons of Leicester Ltd are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. We adhere to the requirements of data protection legislation in the UK .

What happens when I place an order?

When you place an order, we need to know your address and contact details. This allows us to process and fulfil your order. You have the option to withhold personal information that is not required for the order process. You will be able to pay securely using credit card or Paypal.

You can expect to receive the following emails from us every time you place an order:
1) An order confirmation email very soon after ordering for you to check everything you've ordered.
2) If you have ordered items that are special order (ie made especially for you), we will contact you to confirm you agree to proceed.
3) Occasionally we might initiate contact with you if we need to clarify something on your order.
4) When your goods are about to be despatched we send you an email confirming we have processed your order and advising of the delivery method being used. The courier may send you details of expected delivery date and time.
5) 4 weeks after despatch we send you an email inviting you to review the products you've purchased or get back in touch with us with any issues/comments.
That is it. We will not bother you again unless you contact us.

If you contact us about your order we will keep a record of that contact so we can better fulfill your order.

Your name and delivery address details will be passed to our trusted couriers who are compliant with data protection laws in order that they can deliver your goods to you and for no other reason.

We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third party for commercial reasons, beyond the essential requirement for credit/debit card validation during purchase. In order to process credit/debit card transactions, the bank or card processing agency may require to verify your personal details for authorisation outside the EEA (European Economic Area). Your information will not be transferred outside the EEA for any other purpose.

We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

You can check, update or remove your personal details by contacting us in writing.

We will keep a record of your orders so that we can deal with any issues or assist you in future repeat purchases. If you wish to have your purchase history anonymised, please contact us and we will remove identifying information from the records.

What happens when I sign up to the newsletter?

To sign up to our newsletter you will provide your email address. We will send you a confirmation email and then from time to time we will send you marketing emails. If you are a verified purchaser we may ask Trustpilot (who are compliant with data protection laws) to invite you to leave a review of your experience with us. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by following the link in the newsletter email.
