A pair of black vintage-style real bakelite door handles complete with art deco handles and art deco back-plates.
All our BROLITE real Bakelite pieces are based on original designs from early to mid-20th century and unusually, all our door knobs & handles are interchangeable on all of our Bakelite back-plates. A luxury which gives a huge number of combinations to choose from. If you are unable to see the combination you are after, you can order the parts individually.
Complete with 5/16" spindle so it should fit some old locks as well as new ones. Grub screws and wood screws are also supplied. The Deco back plate is No 6055 and the lever is No 6202.

Our live stock figures show that we currently have 10+ in stock. If you would like to order more than the current in stock quantity then the expected lead time for this product is Up To 2 Weeks.
If you are a retail customer in the UK then when we send you your Goods you will also receive a delivery/returns note (as well as your receipt). Full instructions on how to return the Goods to us are on the delivery/returns note. You have 14 days from date of receipt to return Goods to us and do not have to give a reason for doing so. You will have to pay for the return of the Goods. If the entire order is being returned, your refund will include the cost of the original delivery. You can either organize the return yourself (getting proof of postage) or (mainland UK only) we can arrange a collection via our courier. Courier collections arranged by us are charged at £15 per parcel if less than 1.5m in length, or £37 for parcels over 1.5m in length (eg curtain poles).
If you are NOT a retail customer or you are outside of the UK then you will not be able to return goods to us unless they are faulty.
If you receive damaged or faulty Goods then you should contact us to arrange the return within 48 hours of your receipt of the Goods. If we confirm when the Goods arrive back with us that they are damaged or faulty, then you will not be liable for the cost of returning the Goods. You will be offered a replacement or refund.
We regret that we cannot accept returns for Special Order items (unless damaged or faulty). A Special Order item would typically be any item that is not in stock.
We cannot be held responsible for packages lost, delayed or damaged in transit. For your protection if you are returning Goods to us, we recommend that you send your package by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Perfect for my 1930s doors project

Was looking for bakelite - these are the only realistically priced out there. Good quality - maybe have to upgrade some springs in my latches as some are a bit slower on return. The look good against my dark green/grey doors. Have now sprayed all door hardware black with hammerite to suit.

We have a 1930s house which has only two original door handles. We ordered this product as it was the best match to the original handles. The handle design is robust and very ergonomic. It is a convincing match to the originals with a few minor differences.

The product seems v robust and works well with my reconditioned doors. I will be buying more as refurbish more doors. It does need the spring cassette though and my installed did not fit this (my mistake!)

We have a 1930s house we are keen to restore to as close as original as possible. it was really important to us to get the details right and it is impossible to tell these handles from original Bakelite. We had previously found it impossible to find the right reclaimed handles in the number and style we needed so we were delighted when we found that Broughtons made Bakelite handles in such authentic 1930s styles. Customer service was excellent and the handles were a doddle to fit. Cant recommend them more for anyone restoring their 1930s home.
If all the items on your order are in stock, we endeavour to despatch it within 1-2 days on a next day service to mainland UK. Other destinations will have longer transit times.
If your order contains some products that have to be made or ordered specially, we will usually wait for all your ordered items to be in stock before despatch. Please contact us if you would like parts of your order to be despatched as and when they become available. This would attract a separate delivery charge for each delivery.
Delivery charges vary based on your address and the items in the delivery:
For Mainland UK (excluding Scottish Highlands) orders for items less than 1.5m in length and over £100 have FREE delivery (excludes radiators, stoves and palletized lighting).
